About Me

I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with fifteen years of experience as a Child and Family Therapist, School Counselor, Medical Social Worker and Child Crisis Responder. I have particular experience and interest in providing support to pregnant and postpartum mothers, children, teens, and families who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, challenging family dynamics and/or difficult social relationships.

Dependent on the age, development, and need I will draw from principles of play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practice. We'll begin by building a foundation of understanding for personal experience, perspective and cultural background. Together we'll establish treatment goals and how to move towards those goals through a strength-based, collaborative process.

It's my goal to be your partner in treatment and to provide open, empathetic support to each individual and family seeking help.

Individuals and families of all orientation are welcome and encouraged to reach out.

How I Support

I offer individual counseling, family support and parent coaching. I also can provide collaborative care with other professionals and school systems.

For parents and caregivers of children and teens looking to better understand, connect, and support their child we will discuss your experience and concerns. Together, we will look at how you anticipate and approach challenging behaviors and find new ways to support and guide your child.

Therapy is most effective when we consider all aspects of life, including time at home, school, during enrichment activities and in the community. Noticing and connecting how one feels and deals during different times of day and across activities will help understanding and establish lasting strategies for difficult times.

Perinatal and Postpartum

Perinatal and Postpartum Supporting mothers before and after the birth of their child. We will work to relieve problematic symptoms and increase feelings of connection and confidence.

Children (5-12 years)

For children who struggle with emotion dysregulation, flexibility, and frustration tolerance we will utilize tenets of play therapy and mindfulness to process and practice working through stressful situations.

Teens and Young Adults (13-18 years)

For teens and young adults we will devote time to identifying and better understanding problem points. We will investigate cognitive traps and how these automatic thoughts affect your sense of self. We will play with positive self talk as an avenue for building resilience and self esteem. We will work to establish new patterns of thinking to promote lasting wellness. Young adults will have opportunity to identify areas of discontent and practice in-session and between sessions new ways of approaching challenging situations.
